Grad Resources’ Three Areas of Impact

Grad Crisis Care

THE PROBLEM: Graduate students are twenty times more likely to consider suicide than the general population, and many feel overwhelmed and alone. The Grad Crisis Line exists to support them with immediate, confidential help. Those seeking ongoing guidance can also connect with BetterHelp for accessible counseling and encouragement.

Navigating Grad Life

THE PROBLEM: Half of all students who begin a PhD program never finish, often due to exhaustion, isolation, or unmanageable expectations. Nearly forty-three percent report experiencing more stress than they can handle. These pressures make timely support, community, and accessible resources essential for helping graduate students persevere and thrive.

Community Connections

THE PROBLEM: Graduate school can be intensely stressful and deeply isolating, and few outside the research world truly understand those challenges. Finding peers who relate makes an enormous difference. We help students build local community, share life, and engage in meaningful conversations about their academic journey and the deeper questions they face.
